Catfish Derby on Lake Hopatcong.
On the weekend of August14th and 15th the Knee Deep Club will hold it's Catfish Derby on Lake Hopatcong. The contest will begin at 6PM Saturday and end at 12 Noon on Sunday. The entry fee for club members is $20 and $25 ($20 entry $5 insurance) for non-members. A payout of 80% of the entry fees will go to the anglers weighing in the three heaviest Catfish. The fourth, fifth and sixth heaviest catfish weighed in will receive a Windlass Restaurant gift certificate. Entry form are available on line at www.kneedeepclub.org or at the club's official weigh stations located at Dow's Boat Rental, Nolan's Point, Lake Hopatcong and Lake's End Marina, Lakeside Blvd., Landing. Mail in entries must be received by Friday, August 13th, in person entries can be made until 7PM Saturday, August 14th. Please see the contest entry form for a complete list of contest rules.
